Experience

Ligia has over 15 years of experience in legal practice. She played a pivotal role in the banking and finance department as a senior associate at a regional firm for more than 14 years. During her career, she has provided advice to various parties involved in financial transactions. Her experience includes advising and formalizing various credit operations, including structured and project finance. She has participated in financing operations aimed at local banks, non-profit microfinance companies, airline operators, insurance companies, development entities, agricultural companies, hotels, energy marketers and generators, fast food restaurants, among other sectors. Ligia is skilled in structuring legal guarantees to ensure the fulfilment of credit obligations and proposes effective solutions to mitigate the risks associated with credit operations.

In addition, she has advised clients in other legal areas, including estate planning, capital markets, insurance, aviation law, distribution, civil and commercial contracts, corporate matters and verification of legal compliance of commercial operations in general.
